Saharamarathon 2010 by Liz Harkman

Each year over 700 people run across the western Algerian sahara desert to raise money and awareness of a community of over 250,000 refugees from the Western Sahara who've been live in camps for over 35 years. In 2010 I ran a half marathon and had a week long experience of life in the camps staying with a saharawi family.
